We had a week of fun when my Dad recently came up for a visit. We traveled a bunch and got to see all the beautiful places surrounding us. The first couple of days we hung out at the homestead and had a bar-b-q with some friends. Then we were off for a road trip ! First stop was along the Snake River where we stopped to watch the rafts floating the Snake. Then it was on to the Grand Teton National Park- We got to see a Moose up close while he cooled off and had some lunch in the creek. We went up to Jenny Lake and walked around , then we went up to Jackson Hole-- My dad's favorite place ! We went to see the Bar J Wrangers and had a great country dinner. It was a great show and we all had fun. The next day we were off to Yellowstone-- We went to see Old Faithful and had some ice cream and drove around looking for some creatures-- finally we saw some Elk laying in the grass by a picnic area just realxing in the shade. We drove around looking for some bears but were disappointed ! We did see another huge Moose as we were leaving the Park. The next few days we hung out with the boys and went shopping and site seeing and then before Dad left we wanted to take him to Park City to play a little. We had a great day at the Alpine Slides and Alpine Coasters - We all had a blast !
Then we went to the Olympic Park to watch the US Freestyle Ski Team practice their jumps in the huge pool. Then we headed for more shopping at the Outlet mall --- then we took Dad to the airport to say our goodbyes..... I'm always sad to see my Dad go back home--- I'll always be a Daddy's girl no matter how old I get. Love you Dad -- We all sure had a great time with you! Come back SOON!!!
XOXOXOXOX

Jana's Birthday

Jana's birthday was the 29th of July. She never wants to make a big deal over her birthday, but we always manage to celebrate the big day. We celebrated this year with a few friends at Mama Inez. We had some good food, and a good time. We all love you Jana and are so thankful that you are a part of our lives. Happy Birthday !

Spring is finally here!

Spring is in the air... the grass is green, the sky is blue
and tulips are in bloom ! I LOVE SPRING !
It makes me feel so very glad to be alive.
I love the sounds of spring, the birds singing, the kids
playing out doors, it all sounds so
great after a long, cold winter.
I have a photo of the flowers in bloom I wanted to share..
I hope you enjoy...
HAPPY SPRING!!!!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Ok well it is finally here... Fantasy Football..... I have to admit I love it. I'm not sure why I love it so much, it has to be the competition part of it all. I am the first to admit, I am not good at picking who to play and when to play them. Jana got me hooked on this "sport" a few years ago. We used to be on the same Fantasy Football Team and played with others we barely knew and it was a BlAsT ! We watched out scores like it was life or death !

Now we have a "family and friends" fantasy football league and it is FUN! The Fun is in watching the scores and watching and waiting to see who comes out ahead. The first week was this past Sunday/ Monday and of the 8 teams... I am #8...... so I sure hope we are not playing for Money!

Are we? Oh no.... I never asked... boy I may be in trouble.... I better go make some trades....

If you have never tried... you should join a league.... it is a hoot!!

Bridget~

My niece Bridget is turning 14 today... April 5th to be exact. It brings up many thoughts I would like to share~~~ I remember the day she was born like it was only yesterday. We did not know if the baby was a boy or girl so we were a little surprised with the news... "It's a girl".

I for one was a little shocked. I had never even baby sat for a baby girl before so I remember saying... "what are we going to do with a girl?" LOL ... A little selfish statement especially since I am only the Aunt ! The first time I held her in my arms I fell in love. The first moment of being an Aunt , never being a mother myself, has to be one of those moments in time I will never forget. I held her in my hands and thanked God for bringing this beautiful, healthy baby into my life and into the world. She has and always will be such a blessing to our family. My sister and her husband had tried and tried to have a baby. It was an emotional roller coaster as Jenny miscarried several times before conceiving Miss Bridget. With a lot of prayers we finally got the baby in our family. My parents were ecstatic to have their first grandchild. It was and always will be one of the best days of my life and a day I will never forget. Thank you God for blessing our family with such a bright, beautiful, and loving young lady.

Spring is Here

Spring is finally here... a time for growth. The days are starting to get longer and it is actually daylight when I get off of work... thank goodness! ! My favorite thing about Spring is watching the grass turn green and the flowers beginning to bloom. The air smells crisp and fresh and the sky seems more blue each day. It is awesome to live in Idaho because even as the snow has melted, it is easy to look around at the mountain tops and still be reminded of the winter snow. My favorite part about living in Idaho is being out doors. I love to just be outside keeping busy when the weather is nice. I'm not much of a winter outdoor fan.... just the thought of skiing makes my joints ache! I'm not exactly graceful either so it has been much safer for me to stay off of the ski slopes. I am so looking forward to planting flowers and starting the garden. I am also hoping to find time to go camping and fishing a lot more this year....

I think Spring is a time for growth and a time for hope, it is very refreshing!

Happy Spring Everyone!
