Bridget~

My niece Bridget is turning 14 today... April 5th to be exact. It brings up many thoughts I would like to share~~~ I remember the day she was born like it was only yesterday. We did not know if the baby was a boy or girl so we were a little surprised with the news... "It's a girl".

I for one was a little shocked. I had never even baby sat for a baby girl before so I remember saying... "what are we going to do with a girl?" LOL ... A little selfish statement especially since I am only the Aunt ! The first time I held her in my arms I fell in love. The first moment of being an Aunt , never being a mother myself, has to be one of those moments in time I will never forget. I held her in my hands and thanked God for bringing this beautiful, healthy baby into my life and into the world. She has and always will be such a blessing to our family. My sister and her husband had tried and tried to have a baby. It was an emotional roller coaster as Jenny miscarried several times before conceiving Miss Bridget. With a lot of prayers we finally got the baby in our family. My parents were ecstatic to have their first grandchild. It was and always will be one of the best days of my life and a day I will never forget. Thank you God for blessing our family with such a bright, beautiful, and loving young lady.

Spring is Here

Spring is finally here... a time for growth. The days are starting to get longer and it is actually daylight when I get off of work... thank goodness! ! My favorite thing about Spring is watching the grass turn green and the flowers beginning to bloom. The air smells crisp and fresh and the sky seems more blue each day. It is awesome to live in Idaho because even as the snow has melted, it is easy to look around at the mountain tops and still be reminded of the winter snow. My favorite part about living in Idaho is being out doors. I love to just be outside keeping busy when the weather is nice. I'm not much of a winter outdoor fan.... just the thought of skiing makes my joints ache! I'm not exactly graceful either so it has been much safer for me to stay off of the ski slopes. I am so looking forward to planting flowers and starting the garden. I am also hoping to find time to go camping and fishing a lot more this year....

I think Spring is a time for growth and a time for hope, it is very refreshing!

Happy Spring Everyone!
